Measurement Solutions launches Aicon SmartScan R8

Available in the UK from Measurement Solutions, the scanner is offered with field of views ranging from 65 by 50 mm (measuring depth 40 mm) up to 1,065 by 870 mm (measuring depth 660 mm). It provides even higher data quality and resolution than existing SmartScan systems, while the system control with OptoCat software is said to ensure easy handling and flexibility. The scanner's configuration is claimed to be particularly well suited for applications that are more demanding, in terms of resolution requirements, such as in the fields of quality inspection or reverse engineering. According to Aicon, all measurement systems are characterised by fast data acquisition, including complex surfaces of fragile or deformable components. Thanks to LED colors such as blue (standard), white, green and red, optimum illumination is available for every surface.
