Aicon PrimeScan 3D scanners available from Measurement Solutions

With PrimeScan, Aicon 3D Systems says it has developed an entry-level solution for the 3D digitisation of industrial components. Available in the UK from Measurement Solutions, PrimeScan is loaded with Aicon’s OptoCat software and thus uses the same algorithms for creating point clouds as the company’s high-end scanners, StereoScan and SmartScan.

The PrimeScan has a compact design: the base footprint is the equivalent size of an A4 sheet of paper. Furthermore, the scanner weighs just 3 kg.

Measuring fields between 50 and 1,000 mm are available, while depending on the required resolution and precision, different camera resolutions are available: 2, 5 or 8 megapixel. Tripods, turntables and photogrammetry are available as accessories.
