The MACH MDV 800 and MACH MDV 1100 machines are both equipped with the proven, flexible and easy-to-use DynaPath WinDelta CNC control system and, in addition to their impressive technical specifications, are being offered at amazingly competitive prices that manufacturers simply cannot afford to ignore.
Dave Andrew, the Vigilance Group’s managing director, said: "Our new MDV machining centres are powerful, precise, fast and reliable.
“They have a rigid design and build, deliver best-in-class cutting performance and their price point will give other manufacturers’ equivalent-type machines, a real run for their money.”
MACH MDV machines are equipped with powerful BT40 air-cooled, high-torque spindles as standard (11kW - 15kW 8,000rpm), but can be ordered and supplied with direct-drive 12,000rpm spindles replete with spindle chiller and through-spindle-coolant capabilities that extend their application potential.
Other standard features include: Hiwin linear roller guides, 24-position swing arm ATCs and generous-sized worktables (1000 x 500mm with 500kg maximum load on the MDV 800 and 1200mm x 600mm with 800kg maximum load on the MDV 1100).
The machines are fast with 36m/min rapid rates on all axes and, to ensure process reliability, are fully enclosed with armoured telescoped covers.
High precision is assured through the use of C3-class PMI precision ball screws and laser interferometer dynamic lead screw compensation enables 6um positional, and 3um repeatable, accuracies to be achieved across the work envelope.
As with all MACH machine tools, both MDV models are equipped, as standard, with an impressive range of technology features that include efficient auto-lubrication, flood coolant and wash down systems.
Optional extras that further enhance the productivity and performance of the new machines include: a) tool and work-piece probe systems; b) 4th-axis system configuration; c) swarf augurs and conveyors.
DynaPath Control
The advanced DynaPath WinDelta control, available on all new MACH Machine Tools' CNC lathes, toolroom mills and machining centres, is one of the most widely used control systems in the world.
Used extensively in the US and the Far East for over 50 years, and with unrivalled technical support that’s described as ‘being the best, and most proactive, in the business’, the DynaPath control is flexible, versatile and easy-to-use - providing users with simple-to-understand navigation and operation screens accommodating ISO and Conversational Programming on one platform.
With online CAD editing capabilities, semi-auto functions and DRO operation, the DynaPath control provides power, speed and capability to even the most discerning machinist.
Andrew concluded: “We are confident that our new MDV machines will shake-up the market and prove that you don’t need to ‘break the bank’ to acquire a new high-productivity, high-precision machining centre.”
