A crossover of features from both the AngLock and pull-type designs utilised by Kurt’s D688 and 3600V vices are combined with a newly devised four-bolt stationary jaw. The resulting combination of forces are: AngLock design creates all-directional clamping alignment while downward force reduces jaw deflection; the pull-type design reduces stress in the body and maintains flatness after assembly; and the four-bolt design reduces stationary jaw deflection and alleviates body stress.
The DX6 CrossOver features 9-in jaw opening within the inside jaw position. Its body also provides chip evacuation straight through the body at the sides and end of the vice to prevent chip build-up.Kurt DX6 CrossOver vice now available from CIS
Kurt’s newly developed DX6 CrossOver vice is said to offer improved workholding strength and performance where flatness and parallelism are critical. The DX6 CrossOver is interchangeable with Kurt’s D688 vice, with the same bed height and distance from keyway to stationary jaw.
