Hydrafeed introduces MV65 short magazine barfeed

Hydrafeed recently introduced MV65 short magazine barfeed has been designed and built with single spindle turning centres in mind, however, the company also points out that it can also be a productive solution for any turning centre.

The Hydrafeed MV65 has 5 to 65 mm diameter bar capacity making it suitable for the majority of single spindle lathes where a maximum bar length of 1.5 m is required. It is supplied complete with a floor-mounted sliding rail system to simplify setting up processes and it also permits user access to the rear of the turning centre. The MV65 provides has a touchscreen control for operators to input information. Complementing the control system is a hand held remote unit for improved flexibility during operation. Additionally, the MV65 has an LED light along the front of the system to provide shopfloor staff with necessary information relating to the length of bar remaining in the machine headstock with a visual display of the position of the linear guided insert pusher position. The robust, rigid unit delivers bar into the headstock with minimal vibration to support high quality surface finishes and tool life. For enhanced precision, the barfeed incorporates a bar measuring and calibrating system that allows external adjustment of bar diameter settings for simplified setting.
