ADL/ADLL deep-hole micro-drills launched by Rainford

Rainford Precision has introduced two lines of deep-hole micro-drills for processing holes from 0.3 to 1 mm diameter. The ADL and ADLL microscopic drilling lines are manufactured from a high density micro-grain solid carbide to drill holes at 25xD, 30xD, 33xD and 50xD.

The drills are suitable for drilling holes in soft ferrous and non-ferrous materials, and have been used in sliding-head turning centres for machining plastic components for the electronics and connector industries.

The drills are available in diameters from 0.30 to 1 mm, in 0.05 mm increments and with flute lengths from 10 to 50 mm. Offered with an overall length from 60 to 110 mm, the ADL and ADLL feature a high helix 30° flute. To retain edge sharpness, consistency and drilling performance, the drills are uncoated.
