WNT (UK) the Sheffield-based supplier of cutting tool technology has continued what has been a positive year of business by posting record sales for November of £1.36 million. Which in turn will result in the company's best ever year of trading.

"The positive trend in turnover that we are seeing shows no obvious signs of slowing down," says Tony Pennington, managing director, WNT (UK). "Our customers are reporting a much more intense commitment to investment, which is being borne out by our improved sales figures and those of machine tool suppliers. What is more encouraging is that this confidence among our customers is spread across every sector of manufacturing, from aerospace, defence, medical, oil and gas, and automotive." The continued growth in demand for WNT's range of indexable and solid carbide metal cutting products and associated equipment will see full year sales exceed £13.6 million. A figure that will be a record for the company and reflects the investment it has made in supporting its customers throughout the recession with more flexible opening hours, improved logistics and so on, as well as continuing to introduce new and improved cutting tool solutions, such as the commercially successful HCX1125 range of turning inserts.
