WNT (UK) has reported another year of record sales, with 2012 turnover for the Sheffield-based cutting tool specialist breaking the £20 million barrier for the first time.

At the heart of this continued growth is the company's commitment to delivering the class-leading products and customer service, which is capitalising on the continued growth in confidence of the engineering manufacturing sector, in particular, the small to medium sized subcontract companies that are the engine room of the UK manufacturing economy, the company explains. "The continued success of WNT (UK) is a reflection of the hard work that has been put in by every member of the team to build strong relationships with our customer base, working with them through the difficult times and sharing in their success in these current positive market conditions," says Tony Pennington, managing director, WNT (UK). " We will continue to do what we do best, that is, provide customers with exceptional levels of service and technical support, backed up by a range of high quality, high performance, cutting tools that are helping drive down manufacturing costs." This year will see further product introductions from WNT, such as the recently introduced A2520 series of indexable insert milling cutters, developed for the machining of titanium. It is also expanding its customer support through its technical centre in Sheffield, which will see further investment in machines and equipment, as well as the introduction of a series of training courses that will be rolled out nationwide for the benefit of busy customers with limited time. "We are confident that the continuing investment we are making in customer service and products will be recognised by existing and potential customer, and WNT can continue to deliver strong sales growth while providing a competitive advantage to its customers," concludes Tony Pennington.
