Matchmaker CNC to highlight new high speed Matchmaker VMCs plus Fadal spares and service capability at MACH 2014

Matchmaker CNC is taking back-to-back stands at MACH 2014 to highlight its extensive range of machine tools, including the Matchmaker range of VMCs and 5-axis machining centres, and the products from its key partners: TongTai; Honor Seiki; Yasda; and Unisign. On the second half of its stand, the company will promote the spares and service support it provides, particularly for Fadal machines (Stand 5376, Hall 5).

Central to the new machine offering from Matchmaker CNC is the range of Matchmaker high speed vertical machining centres. These come as standard with a 10,000 rpm spindle, but many customers are choosing the 20,000 rpm spindle option, says the company. To match the performance of the high speed spindle, the machines are equipped with widely spaced roller guideways; a combination that provides rigidity, low noise, low friction and high positional accuracy. Control is via Fanuc 0iMD control. There are four machines in the Matchmaker high speed VMC range: 610, 860, 1020, and 1100, with the figures relating to their X-axis travels. The VMC-860 HS and VMC-1020 are seen as the mainstay of the range, matching popular demand from UK customers, and which both boast 560 mm and 600 mm travels in the Y and Z axes respectively, plus rapid traverse rates of 36 m/min (X and Y) and 24 m/min (Z). "These high speed Matchmaker machines are providing, like the rest of the range, a highly competitive, value-for-money machining solution for UK-based subcontractors and OEMs alike," says Matchmaker CNC's Colin Donhue. Turning to service and support, with a spare parts stock valued at over £500,000, Matchmaker CNC says it prides itself on providing rapid response to breakdowns for machines that have been in the field for many years. In particular, it has an extensive range of spares for the Fadal range of machines, and the second half of its stand at MACH will focus on its ability to supply these, often at prices less than that of refurbishing existing worn parts. "As the age of the UK-population of Fadal machines increases, and there remain many of them in daily use, we are seeing an increasing demand for spare parts. Key elements such as ballscrews and spindles are available from our extensive stock and these are priced very competitively. So much so that we are able to replace worn or damaged parts with new replacements, often at lower cost than a repair. At MACH, we will have a member of our spares and service team on-hand to answer any questions visitors may have about the service that we can provide." MACH 2014 - Birmingham NEC, 7-11 April
