Wyler’s BlueLevel-2D level combines two high precision inclination sensors

Bowers Metrology, UK agent for Swiss level manufacturer Wyler, has announced the launch of the advanced BlueLevel-2D.

Wyler's BlueLevel-2D combines two high precision inclination sensors in a compact housing, together with an integrated graphical display. The level's novel 2D measurement/display arrangement facilitates a wide range of machine tool building, maintenance and installation applications, such as simultaneous alignment in two directions, alignment of reference plates and the measurement of machine pitch and roll. Housed in a rust protected aluminium housing and powered by standard 1.5 V rechargeable batteries or mains adapter, the robust unit's internal software allows easy set-up through a simple zero setting and reversal measurement. A choice of display methods and indicated units can be selected, while angular displacement is illustrated graphically on a large, easy-to-read 2D colour display. In addition to the level's many standard features, a wide range of accessories is also available, including a cable for connection to a PC, wireless communication based on Bluetooth technology and, if required, data collection/manipulation software.
