Along with the 161 kW/80,220 Nm/300 rpm headstock and the 72 kW/1,870 Nm turning and milling unit, the machine's standard set-up includes a rack and pinion drive and a master-slave system on the Z-axis.
Also featuring master-slave technology, the main spindle allows dynamic and reliable positioning, as well as moving of the C-axis with variable preloading and zero backlash. The MPMC 2000 uses a B-axis clamping system that facilitates continuous fixing in any angular position with a holding torque of 20,000 Nm.
Areas of application include steam and gas turbine shafts, generator shafts, crankshafts, compressor screws, printing drums and ship drive shafts.
