Technifor adopts PROFINET communication protocol

Technifor has announced the arrival of the PROFINET communication protocol in its laser marking equipment. With the implementation of PROFINET I/O, Technifor's permanent marking machines can be connected directly to the industrial network without any additional devices.

PROFINET, first developed by Siemens and used worldwide, is an industrial ethernet standard that is designed to make companies more successful by accelerating processes, boosting productivity and increasing plant availability. Thanks to this communication protocol, Technifor says its laser marking machines are becoming the most interconnected in the market. Technifor's control units now come with a full connectivity suite including generic I/O, dedicated I/O, ethernet TCP/IP and RS232, which offer numerous possibilities for information to flow. With this functionality, the company's marking machines can now be integrated into production lines via PLC.
