Technifor TF450 laser marker even faster
Technifor has introduced its TF450, a 50 W fibre laser marking machine that the company says is twice as fast as its existing 30 W variant.
Thanks to its 50 W power, the beam of the TF450 is said to vaporise material, creating completely unalterable marks. This creates new opportunities for deeper engraving, especially in hard materials like metals, and will be particularly useful for marking which must remain legible after applying a coat of paint or surface treatment. Technifor says that target markets include engine blocks and chassis, as well as water meters, cutlery and medical instruments.
As well as engraving, the machine has also been tested and approved for cutting thin metal sheets up to 3 mm thick. LaserStyle software is used to aid complex toolpaths, opening up prospects for development in micro-precision machining markets.
