Technifor supplies standard or customised markers that are just the ticket

Technifor's range of portable and benchtop marking machines now includes the portable, entirely self-contained electromagnetic M120. Its belt-mounted battery pack gives the user freedom to move about unhindered. A keyboard can be connected for quick marking file preparation. The user-friendly graphical interface guides the operator through the entire marking process and supplies marks at 5 characters per second.

The pneumatic XF520Cp weighs only 2.7 kg, allowing the operator to bring the machine to the part, and has the same positioning flexibility as the M120. At 10 characters per second, Technifor believes it is the fastest on the market, with versatile character – 0.5 to 49.5 mm Dugard – capabilities. The XF530, described as a portable workhorse, offers the deepest (0.4 mm) marking capability. Marks this deep are required when marking parts for use in corrosive environments, like oil and gas industries, pipe manufacturing or shipbuilding. Ergonomically designed, the XF530's grips rotate for vertical or horizontal use. The XF500 column-mounted workbench machine offers quick set-up and operation, says Technifor. It features a 120 by 100 mm marking field and a backlit graphical display. It is suitable for use on all materials (metals up to 62 HRC, alloys and plastics), and all surfaces: flat, convex, machined, rough, painted, etc. Technifor now also offers the XF500Zm automatic Z-axis model. This features a high precision stylus guidance system and motorised Z-axis. It can locate the surface to be marked without any user input or manual adjustment, speeding up the marking process. It is precise enough to mark with characters measuring just 0.5 mm high, says Technifor. Safety-critical, complex marking and other precision engineered marking needs, such as can be found in aerospace and the automotive industries, can be satisfied with Technifor´s MR7000 traceability package of an XF500Zm and DataMatrix code reader. Technifor range of product options also allows for easy customisation: electromagnetic or pneumatic technology, column-mounting for hand-held units, and tag feeders and rotary devices.
