Sub-spindle Lynx 220 lathes join Mills CNC’s Doosan range

Mills CNC has expanded its range of compact Lynx 220 lathes with four sub-spindle versions capable of machining complex parts in fewer set-ups.

The Lynx 220 LSA, 220 LMSA, 220 LSC and the 220 LMSC 5.5 kW, 6,000 rpm sub-spindles are all equipped with 12 station turrets (24-position indexing capability). Two of the models, the 51 mm bar diameter capacity Lynx 220 LMSA and the 65 mm bar diameter capacity Lynx 220 LMSC, have full C axis (360º in 0.001 increments) and driven tooling capabilities (3.7 kW 6,000 rpm), providing manufacturers with additional mill, drill and tapping potential. The Lynx 220 LSA/LMSA machines have a 15 kW/6,000 rpm main spindle, while the main spindle of the Lynx 220 LSC/LMSC lathes is 15 kW/4,500 rpm. All machines are equipped as standard with an automatic tool setter, parts catcher, pneumatic parts ejector with coolant wash (on the sub-spindle), and parts conveyor. The machines also have 10.4 inch colour screen and Fanuc Manual Guide i operator programming systems.
