Soracluce milling machines enhance Ward CNC portfolio
Four heavyweight milling machines from Spain’s Soraluce are available from UK agent Ward, claimed to offer unrivalled large-capacity single set-up milling capabilities at cost-effective price tags.
The Soraluce TA-25-A mill (pictured) has a 2,700 by 1,000 mm table, travels in X, Y and Z of 2,500 by 1,250 by 1,200 mm and boasts rapid traverse rates in all axes of 25,000 mm/min plus feedrates of 5-10,000 mm/min. With Heidenhain iTNC-530 CNC and digital motors, the machine is supplied as standard with a 24 kW, 4,000 rpm automatic indexing head (2.5O by 2.5O) and 20-tool ATC.
With X, Y and Z travels of 8,500 by 2,000 by 1,500 mm, the Soraluce SP-10,000 milling centre is capable of single set-up machining from heavy cutting through semi-finishing to finishing. The machine can be supplied with high-speed electro-spindles from 18,000 revs/min to 30, 000 rpm.
Single set-up, complete machining is also one of the main features of the Soraluce FR-12,000 floor-type mill, which has X, Y and Z travels of 12,000 by 3,600 by 1,600 mm. Rapid traverse rates are also 25,000 mm/min, control is Heidenhain iTNC-530 with digital motors, and the 37 kW, 4,000 rpm orthogonal indexing head has two indexing planes – vertical to the spindle and at 90O, with positioning every 1O.
With X, Y Z axes travels of 6,000 by 1,700 by 1,000 mm, and 60,000 mm/min rapid traverse rates, the Soraluce FV-6,000 floor-type model is equipped for cost-effective complete machining.
