Sodick high end K3BL EDM promises high quality high precision micro holes
Sodick has developed a range of machines, including the latest high end K1BL and K3BL models, able to drill holes with diameters as small as 0.08 mm. These are capable not only of producing smooth wall, well-defined edge holes with high precision and repeatability, but also precise positioning of complex arrays of drilled holes.
The K3BL can machine steels, non-ferrous metals and other difficult materials and, with a linear drive on the Z-axis, provides vibration-free precision and high dynamic response. By using the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC), the K3BL can offer fully automated operation using different sizes of electrodes.
The K3BL features Sodick's LN Assist software for optimised condition searching, which enables the creation of cutting programs with multiple holes.
K3BL standard features include a linear motor on the Z-axis, Sodick Motion Control (CNC control LN10K with SMC), automatic depth measurement and an automatic electrode feeder.
