Seco extends Jabro-Solid² end mill range
Seco has expanded its Jabro-Solid² range of solid carbide end mills to include new sizes, geometries and flute versions.
The JS522 long-flute finishing tool, designed to meet aerospace industry criteria for perpendicularity and fine surface finishes, now comes in standard inch sizes that will widen its appeal.
Aerospace sector demands have also led to the launch of the JS453 end mill, which features radii from 1 to 6 mm (in 1 mm increments) and extended overhang lengths.
Four new geometries have been introduced to the JS400 series, allowing users to optimise chip formation and achieve higher cutting data in general machining and aerospace applications involving aluminium alloys, says Seco.
Improvements have also been made to the Jabro-HSS-Co range with the expansion of the JCO710 series of solid HSS-E end mills to include a zn-4 flute version. This is said to help increase process security in full slotting operations.
