Iscar extends Chatterfree end-mill range

Iscar has expanded three of its solid carbide Chatterfree end-mill families, which are designed to reduce vibration in metal cutting operations.

Firstly, 1 and 2 mm diameter tools have been added to the EC-E4L-CF range. These tools are characterised by a four-flute, 38° helix with variable pitch for roughing and finishing operations. Used for machining alloyed and stainless steel, titanium and exotic materials, the tools are capable of up to 3xD full slot milling.

Secondly, 2 to 5 mm diameter tools have been added to the EC-E7/H7-CF family. These seven-flute end-mills, with different helix angles and variable pitch are said to facilitate high speed/trochoidal milling and finishing operations.

Finally, the ECA-H3-C F series 1.5, 2 and 2.5 mm diameter tools, and seven tools featuring 3 mm corner radii. The latter are aimed at the machining of aluminium aerospace parts.
