Schaublin Machine Tools launches compact machining centre

Schaublin's 48V-15K VMC machining centre features both fast axis and spindle, acceleration and deceleration, as well as, rapid feed rates and a powerful Fanuc Oi MC control. The 48V-15K machining centre out performs the average machine in its class and is suitable for prototype work to high production manufacturing.

With heavy duty cast iron construction, the machining centre weighs 2,835 kg and has a compact footprint of 1,570 mm x 2,212 mm, providing working travels of 480 mm on the X-axis, 400 mm on the Y-axis and 430 mm on the Z-axis. The work table, with dimensions of 600 mm x 400 mm, allows a maximum component weight of 250 kg. Rapid feed rates (G0) of 48 m/min are available on all axes, with programmable feed rates (G1) of 15 m/min. The direct drive spindle of 5.5 kW is configured for either ISO 30 or BT 30 taper, with a programmable speed of 15,000 rpm. The automatic tool carousel has the capacity for 20 tool holders and a manual pulse generator (MPG), making this a very competitively priced machine in its class. Options available include automatic twin pallet (APC), Renishaw tool measurement, Renishaw part measurement probe, through spindle coolant at 19 bar, programmable increments of 0.001 degrees and a 4th axis of 170 mm, with centre height of 135 mm.
