Pallet positioning system offers 0.003 mm repeatability
Centrex, the mini zero position system from Hainbuch, saves users time, money, and space on standard pallets for part specific equipment. The system supports repeatability of better than <0.003 mm and a claimed perfect surface contact.
Centrex is a simple, patented solution featuring precision ball bearings in a rubber ring as conical positioning elements integrated into a pallet system. Pallets can be fitted to each other with precise repeatability, and the conical positioning elements prevent tilting. (The ball bearing/rubber ring system is already employed in other Hainbuch products, in fact.)
The Centrex package contains four bushings and positioning cones mounted in the universally applicable Centrex carrier plate. The latter is made from cast mineral, and is therefore significantly better than a steel plate. The pallet is highly scratch resistant despite its light weight and, if damage occurs, there is no deformation, while temperature variations have no effect. A further advantages is its excellent vibration dampening.
