The Takisawa Taiwan 3-axis EX-322/H turning centre provides an enviable level of quality at Taiwanese prices, performing mill-turn-drill operations quickly and efficiently in a single set-up.
The EX-322 – a three-axis version of the highly successful EX-122/H – boasts C-axis and driven tools, and its outline specification includes a swing over the bed of 750 mm, over the crosslide of 560 mm and a distance between centres of 1,820 mm.
Standard turning diameter is 450 mm, maximum turning diameter is 610 mm and maximum turning length is 1,530 mm. Tailstock travel is quoted as 1,400 mm and tailstock quill travel as 200 mm.
Capable of handling 184 mm diameter bar and with a 12-station turret, the EX-322 has a spindle speed of 12-1,200 rpm from the 30/37 kW main spindle motor, coupled with traverse rates in X- and Z-axes of 18 and 22 m/min, respectively.
