Mapal Uniset-P simplifies and speeds tool setting
Mapal says that the portal construction used in the Uniset-P tool setting fixture provides users with unimpeded access to tools during setting, thereby allowing setting operations to be completed conveniently, quickly and accurately. Even the measuring camera and backlight source are integrated into the pillars of the portal, which means that they can never restrict user access, an inconvenience often experienced with setting fixtures that use conventional bracket construction.
A further benefit of the Uniset-P fixture's portal construction is that it provides a high level of thermal and mechanical stability, which ensures precision and repeatability in setting operations, says Mapal.
Mapal's Uniset-P fixture is suitable for setting tools of almost any type, including fixed tools, PCD face mills, tools with ISO-elements, solid carbide tools, actuating tools and turning tools. It can accommodate tools up to 500 mm in diameter and up to 600 mm in length.
