Label matching algorithm increases CAM import options

Software features added to NCL multi-axis machining CAM software for the aerospace, automotive and turbomachinery industry give users more freedom in the way models are imported and more flexibility. When importing an external model through IGES or SolidWorks, users have the option of using a label matching algorithm so that each geometric entity present in the external file can be compared with an existing NCL model and given the same label as a matching entity in the NCL database. The label matching feature maintains the labelling of geometry between engineering changes and can even be used for the labelling of family-of-parts models. Regressive matching gives users multiple levels of matching, resulting in more efficient label matching.
