ITC unveils Cyber 2151 long series PCD end-mills

ITC has extended its Cyber series of cutting tools with the 2151 Cyber end mills for the machining of graphite, glass and carbon fibre composites. Importantly, the cutters feature extra-long length to improve accessibility when milling hard-to-reach surfaces.

Manufactured from a solid carbide micro-grain shank, the 2151 Cyber series improves rigidity and reduces vibration when machining faces and features in deep cavities. With an overall tool length of 150 mm, both surface finish and tool life are enhanced, says ITC.

The geometry and design of the 2151 series permits centre cutting while demonstrating heat-dissipation characteristics. The cutters are available with a choice of 8, 10 or 12 mm diameters, and a length of cut from 10 to 12 mm. Available shank diameters are 8, 10 and 12 mm with a maximum reach capability of 40 to 45 mm.
