ITC develops miniature corner rounding cutters for precision radii

Industrial Tooling Corp (ITC) 2171 Cyber Series now includes miniature corner rounding cutters for the machining of miniature high precision radii.

The two flute solid carbide milling cutters are manufactured from an ultra wear-resistant micrograin carbide. With a full 90° radius plus run-out, the ITC 2171 Cyber series is available as an uncoated cutter or with a Cupro coating to maximise performance and tool life on a wide variety of materials. ITC's 2171 Cyber series has been developed for micro machining applications. Shank diameters of 3 mm and overall length of 38 mm maximise rigidity and surface finish quality. The choice of corner radius includes 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.75. 0.8, 0.9 and 1 mm. The 2171 series complements the proven 4011 series for the machining of larger radii. The 4011 series is available in diameters from 8 to 20 mm with a choice of radii including 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5 and 6 mm. ITC can manufacture special radius cutters at its UK facility to meet the specific demands of the end users.
