ITC back chamfering Cyber Series

ITC's 4111 Cyber Series of back chamfering and countersinking tools has been developed at the company's Tamworth manufacturing plant to conduct front and back chamfering or circular interpolation countersinking of holes and slots in a variety of materials.

The series is available in 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm diameters with 3, 4, 6, 8 and 9 mm cut lengths respectively. The 4 and 6 mm cutters have a 6 mm shank diameter while the 8, 10 and 12 mm cutters have a shank diameter that corresponds with the cutting diameter. The series has a neck diameter of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 mm that sees the cutters have an overall length of 58 mm for the 4 mm cutter, 64 mm for the 6 and 8 mm lengths and 100 mm for the larger 10 and 12 mm tools. Cutter lengths have been optimised to improve rigidity while offering the best possible length. In proportion to the cutter diameters, the series has a maximum chamfer of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 mm for the five different diameter ranges. The 4111 Cyber Series incorporates a staggered tooth design and 90º inclusive angle that leads to smooth cutting and improved surface finishes while the rigid design further enhances finishes and tool life. To further extend tool life, the series is also available with an AlTiN coating.
