Iscar S845 SNHU 1305 ANR MM MS32 inserts suit turbocharger parts

Due to the unstable cost of nickel (between 2005 and 2013 price fluctuations varied between €5 and €13 per kg), motorsport turbocharger components are now made from alloys with low nickel content.

To suit these materials, Iscar has developed its S845 SNHU 1305 ANR MM MS32 inserts, which are able to achieve up to 25% longer tool life, compared with currently available tools, the company says.

Among the cutters able to accommodate the new inserts is Iscar's range of adjustable face milling cutters.
