High performance grade for ductile and cast irons

Based on newly developed coating technology AC410K is suitable for higher speed turning both ductile and grey cast irons when continuous cutting in the light to medium roughing application range. The ultra flat and ultra smooth surface of the super FF coating improves chip evacuation and enhances surface finish while the 30 per cent increase in hardness doubles tool life and enables increased feedrates for productivity gains of around 50 per cent, says Sumitomo. These inserts are available at half list price until end-March 2008.
