High accuracy Sodick vertical machining centre with larger table

Promises of extremely high levels of accuracy by the Sodick HS650L vertical machining centre are particularly aimed at mould and die, optical and electronic communications applications where precision and surface finish are paramount. With accuracies in the micron range, high speed milling with up to 1 g acceleration and extremely fast positioning speeds, the linear motor drive machining centre offers the same performance as the smaller HS430L, but with a larger 750 by 500 mm table, extended stroke and workpiece height, increased maximum tool length, and generous linear motor output power. The 8,000 kg HS650L machine bed features a cast meehanite construction for rigidity, dynamic accuracy and thermal stability. Developed for linear drives, the Sodick Motion Control maximises speed and acceleration.
