Hexagon launches 7.10.7 SF CMMs
Hexagon Metrology has unveiled the 7.10.7 SF, a newly developed generation of shop floor CMMs designed to excel in harsh industrial environments. The product line introduces usability enhancements aimed at making the CMM more convenient and productive for manufacturing operations.
The CMM has a measuring stroke of 710 x 1,010 x 680 mm, and uses standard 110/220 V single phase outlets with no need for shop air. Furthermore, the 7.10.7 SF's computer, controller and interface boxes are housed in one self-contained unit for easy transportation.
A major feature is the integrated and flexible part fixture system enabling customers to locate up to four 300 x 300 mm fixture plates or one 500 mm fixture plate on the table. Using a kinematic locating system, the fixture plates can be loaded and unloaded quickly, allowing users to swap individual parts or part types in a matter of seconds, says Hexagon.
