The revamp is based on a modern tablet-style design, featuring the addition of a touch-screen central display alongside two joystick controllers.
The wireless device boasts integrated rechargeable batteries and comes with a mains-powered docking station, which can in turn be placed on an adjustable and portable stand. All machine control functions are displayed on the jogbox screen through a software app running on Android.
"With the jogbox, users get the same type of experience as they would with a smartphone – it's a unique concept for a CMM controller and something that is really fun to work with," says Micha Neininger, product manager at Hexagon Metrology.
