Haas 10,000 rpm, 50 taper spindle offered for machining centres
Haas is now offering a 45 hp 10,000 rpm in-line 50 taper spindle for some of its machining centres.
Intended for high speed machining and able to deliver the high-rpm power needed for heavy material removal rates, it offers 170 ft-lb of torque at 1,400 rpm, while its peak power rating is 60 hp at 7,000 rpm.
Haas' inline direct-drive system couples the motor directly to the spindle and so delivers fine surface finishes, extreme thermal stability and is quiet in operation.
The spindle is available for Haas VF-3YT, VF-5, and VF-6 VMCs machines.
