DMG/Mori Seiki introduces DMC 85 with pallet changer
DMG/Mori Seiki's DMC 85 monoBlock is a step up in size from the DMC 65 monoBlock and it is equipped with an RS3 automatic pallet changer. The machine is designed for use with three 630 by 630 mm pallets capable of carrying loads up to 800 kg each. It is capable of up to 5-axis simultaneous machining.
Maximum workpiece size on the DMC 85 monoBlock is 800 mm diameter by 600 mm high. DMG/Mori Seiki says that optimum use of the machine's open workspace has enabled it to house the pallet changer while ensuring that both the machining area and set-up station can be easily accessed. A swivelling rotary table provides the two additional axes for 5-axis operation.
The heavy construction of the DMC monoBlock and large roller guideways support a high level of stability and rigidity and the machine occupies a small footprint (11.6 m2 or 13.2 m2 with chip conveyor).
The DMG/Mori Seiki monoBlock series machines are designed for the integration of additional technologies which include Ultrasonic, ultrasound-assisted machining for hard and brittle materials and Lasertec Shape machining for producing patterned surfaces.
