DMG/Mori Seiki introduces DMU 105 monoBlock FD mill-turn
DMG/Mori Seiki has introduced a larger version of its DMU 85 monoBlock FD mill-turning centre, the DMU 105 monoBlock FD. Standard equipment includes a 12,000 rpm/288 Nm spindle, which accepts HSK-A 100 toolholders, and a rotary table with 4,000 Nm direct drive for turning at up to 500 rpm. The VMC offers up to five simultaneous CNC axes machining.
Maximum workpiece capacity is 1,050 mm diameter by 690 mm high and a table load of up to 2,000 kg. The milling-turning package also features special cycles for highly productive machining, an integrated balance sensor and a reinforced enclosure with a shatter-proof glass safety panel to protect the operator.
Like the DMU 125 monoBlock and the latest DMC 85 monoBlock, the DMU 105 is heavily constructed with large roller guideways for stability and rigidity. It has a 15 m2/16.7m2 with chip conveyor footprint.
The DMG/Mori Seiki monoBlock series machines are designed for the integration of additional technologies which include Ultrasonic, ultrasound-assisted machining for hard and brittle materials and Lasertec Shape machining for producing patterned surfaces.
