The 2142 XLS Series has been developed for machining deep cavities beyond the scope of ITC's 2022 Series.
The 2142 XLS Series of solid carbide straight shank cutters is suited to medium to high speed machining, as the centre cutting 50° right-hand helix design promotes swarf evacuation, while the short length of cut delivers maximum rigidity. The short flute not only delivers maximum rigidity, but also improves surface finish.
Produced from ultra wear resistant micro grain carbide, the 2142 XLS Series offers tool life and productivity gains beyond that of competitor cutting tools. The aluminium range is available from 6 to 20 mm diameter in 2 mm increments with an overall length ranging from 150 to 200 mm. With a short length of cut from 8 to 25 mm diameter, the 2142 XLS Series generates maximum rigidity for improved surface finishes whilst the end geometry delivers outstanding performance under demanding conditions.
