Dean Smith & Grace unveils SB slant bed lathes
SB series slant bed lathes from Dean Smith & Grace is available in three different design specifications with various bed lengths. Features include a Meehanite cast bed and infinitely variable digital AC spindle motors and drives.
The SB 2921, which comes with a 30° slant bed, offers a swing over bed of 750 mm and a swing over saddle of 600 mm. Maximum cutting diameter is 550 mm, while component lengths up to 3,062 mm can be accommodated.
The 45° slant bed SB 3527 features a swing over bed of 900 mm and a swing over saddle of 745 mm. It can handle components measuring up to 680 mm in diameter and 4,900 mm in length.
The SB 4035 is the top-of-the-range model, boasting an increased cutting diameter of 900 mm. A 12 in chuck is fitted as standard, with an 18 in chcuk offered as an option.
