Victor VT P20 has improved slant bed and turret

Victor CNC has introduced its latest-generation Vturn P20 turning centre range. Here, the company has not only enhanced the structure with an improved slant bed and turret design, but upgraded the rapid feed rates.

Importantly, the Z-axis ballscrew on the Vturn P20 is mounted on the slant bed and not the machine base, which minimises the distance from the turret to the ballscrew, thus improving cutting stiffness and rigidity.

A swing-over-bed diameter capacity of 520 mm is complemented by a maximum turning diameter of 280 mm, while the spindle bore permits bar-feeding up to 52 mm (66 mm for large spindle bore option) with 440 mm between centres. To support this, the Vturn P20 has travel in X of 20+140 mm and traverse in Z of 370 mm, which are supported by 30 m/min rapid traverse rates.
