Cost effective Nexus 610 hardness testers from Bowers
Bowers has launched the Nexus 610 series of Rockwell/Brinell hardness testers. Designed as cost effective units featuring a generous workpiece aperture, the tester bodies have a cast structure and include a closed loop force actuator to provide continuous force feedback information.
The 610 series offers a force range from 2.5 kgf/24.5 N to 150 kgf/1,471 kN. Despite the fact that the testers are able to complete cycles in as little as 15 seconds – at a dwell time of 10 seconds – the Nexus 610 system avoids 'overshoot' during test force application, thus delivering outstanding GR & R results, says Bowers.
The entry level 610RS model performs hardness tests in all Rockwell and Superficial Rockwell scales, while the next model, 610RSB, adds Brinell scale capability.
