Bowers Metrology Verzus 700 hardness testers meet flexible needs

A series of universal hardness testers has been launched by Bowers Metrology UK. Verzus 700 series devices, designed to cover a wide range of test loads and test methods, feature an advanced closed loop system based on precision load cell technology and accommodate test forces ranging from 1 to 250 kgf. They are equally at home within a materials testing laboratory or on the shopfloor.

The four-model Verzus 700 series allows customers to choose a hardness tester that is specific to the range of hardness methods used, while a comprehensive list of accessories allows them to specify a model that exactly matches their requirements. Among the many test methods covered are Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Brinell, HVT, HBT, Hb, and Plastic ISO 2039/1. Depending on the model chosen, Verzus 700 features include: shape correction for curved surfaces; optical depth measuring system; OLED full colour user-friendly interface; Go/No Go function with visual and acoustic warning; a large memory for measurements; statistic capability; and USB2 and RS232 data outputs. Bowers Metrology says the Verzus 700s have the ability to replace several dedicated, single test method hardness testers and comply with all applicable EN/ISO, ASTM and JIS standards.
