Bowers Metrology launches affordable range of shopfloor hardness testers

Bowers Metrology has launched an advanced range of affordable regular and superficial Rockwell Hardness Testers that includes the manual W-600BDL, motorised W-600MBDL and W-600MBDL/S.
The range's high specification and generous working envelope enables the hardness testing of large specimens and delivers accurate, repeatable hardness readings (conforming to EN-ISO 6508 and ASTM-E18) in inspection departments or on the shopfloor.
The testers provide direct readings of Rockwell HRA. B, C, D, E, F, G, K, L, M, P, R and S scales, plus conversions to Brinell and Vickers. Further advanced functions include go/no go limit settings, 99 memory positions, internal storage for 50 test programme settings and full statistical functions.
The easy to operate testers include selectable control of load duration (dwell time), simple load force selection and an oil brake with variable damping by an adjustable knob. A simple menu and high visibility digital display gives the user access to all functions and test status, while test readings can be exported to computers, printers, etc, via a USB2 output.
