Bowers Metrology extends Sylvac S_Mike Pro micrometer range

Bowers Metrology has further extended its S_Mike Pro micrometer offering with 100 to 136 mm and 125 to 161 mm capacity models. The range can now measure from 0 up to 161 mm with only five instruments.
The Sylvac-manufactured S_Mike Pro digital micrometers feature high speed thimble action and non-rotating measuring shafts, use Smart Inductive Sensor (SIS) technology and have a linear specification based on DIN 863. They are designed to operate in harsh measuring environments, such as in close proximity to machine tools, and an IP67 rating according to IEC 60529, renders them resistant to the ingress of water and coolant.
With a highly visible LCD digital readout displaying all measurements, simple two-button operation and an intuitive operating system give S_Mike Pro's users easy access to a comprehensive range of functions, including metric/inch conversion, zero setting and a preset.
S_Mike Pro's batteries allow 12,000 working hours of operation. The units also have a stand-by mode with an automatic 'wake-up' activated by the motion of the micrometer's measuring shaft and a choice of 5 or 10 N switchable measuring forces.
The Sylvac micrometers have S_Connect Proximity for advanced contactless data output.
