Bowers measures crankshaft parallelism

Bowers Metrology, the UK agents for Wyler, a leading manufacturer of ultra precise engineering levels and inclinometers, has launched the Leveltronic NT (crankshaft variant) for the precise measurement of the parallelism of large crankshaft's off-set and in-line journals.

The Leveltronic NT has an accuracy of 10 µm/m and is capable of accommodating crank shafts with journal diameters of 400 to 1,200 mm. Available with a large range of measuring bases to suit a wide range of applications, as with all Leveltronic NT models, the Wyler crankshaft variant has a large LCD digital display, a precise zero point adjustment and is available with calibration in arc seconds or mm/m. Suited to the precise measurement of angles, the Wyler Leveltronic NT range of electronic instruments are used globally for calibrating the flatness of surface plates, checking machine tool geometry and many other applications where high-precision is required.
