ABEC 7 spindle bearings are fitted to help deliver low spindle run-out and, according to Axminster, the main castings are certified Meehanite and the slideways hand-scraped to retain more lubricant.
For ease of use, a 3-axis digital readout is fitted, together with X- and Y-axis power feeds and a coolant system.
The mills are aimed at education facilities, engineering workshops and prototype manufacturers.
