Aquablast launches Edge X-5 waterjet
Aquablast has introduced the Edge X-5 waterjet system with AquaVision Di controller. Manufactured by Jet Edge, this 5-axis machine is said to cut precise, taper-free parts from virtually any material.
With typical applications that include the production of impellers and bevels up to 50°, the Edge X-5 is designed to provide dependable service in harsh industrial environments. For instance, the sturdy design separates the motion system from the catcher tank to eliminate vibration. In addition, the machine is ballscrew driven and features direct-couple AC brushless digital servomotors, and single or double carriages. Critical bearing components are protected by heavy metal covers with brush seals and positive air pressure.
The Edge X-5 waterjet machine is available in sizes from 1.5 x 1.5 m to 7.3 x 4 m. An optional second cutting head can be added to double productivity.
