Ajax Ace AJSB 200S CNC lathe ready to run for £37,000

Ajax Machine Tools International's latest 51 mm bar size or 200 mm CNC slant bed chucking lathe, the Ace AJSB 200S, provides 290 mm turning diameter by 500 mm between centres. It is available as a ready-to-run package with start up tooling for around £37,000 in chucking specification or around £47,000 with bar feed.
The Ajax AJSB 200S is a mid-range machine in the Ace lathe series having a high turning capability that covers bar sizes between 36 and 75 mm, and between 165 and 250 mm chuck size with up to 650 mm between centres.
The 3.8 tonne cast iron construction AJSB 200S, which has hardened and ground steel boxways, is capable of effective heavy duty machining sequences in difficult materials.
The 11 kW spindle has a speed range of between 50 and 5,000 rpm. An eight station turret and tailstock with 80 mm barrel diameter has a programmable quill with 100 mm travel.
Other standard features on the Ajax Ace AJSB 200S include a parts-catcher, swarf conveyor, tool presetting probe, spindle stop orientation and four boring bar holders, eight OD turning toolholders and a face and ID holder block. Control is by Fanuc Oi-TD Mate and there is a facility to use the electronic handwheel for teach-repeat in both Y and Z axes. The machine drives package is also Fanuc.
The LNS Alpha 1.5 m magazine barfeed or LNS Sprint 552 up to 3 m can be specified as options. Software is also available for BOB CAD, CADCAM and RS 232 cable.
