UK-made high speed circular saws and narrow bandsaws for cutting metal

Somerset-based EPS Services and Tooling has launched a range of high speed circular saws and narrow bandsaws for cutting metal.

Managing director Nick Palmer said: "Although our core business remains the timber industry, we are seeing signs of a significant recovery in general manufacturing and this inevitably requires a requirement to cut metal. "Our new range of high speed circular saws and metal cutting bandsaws are manufactured here in Somerset for clients across the UK to cut a wide range of metal products." The bandsaws are constructed from high speed steel strip with the teeth milled into the strip for longer life. EPS offers the higher grade M42 blades in a vari-pitch format for faster and higher volume cutting. High Speed Steel (HSS) saw blades can be used on manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic sawing machines to cut tubes and pipes, open sections and solid sections up to 200 mm in thickness. The blades are suitable for cutting steels and alloys with hardness between 500 N/mm² and 800 N/mm² All the blades are CO² steam treated for improved performance and reliability. The oxide surface allows the saw body to hold the cooling agent better and improves the resistance to clogging. Image: Nick Palmer pictured with saw blades
