Waterjet Profilers of Basildon, Essex, has recently purchased a Bystronic Byjet 4030 Classic L with two cutting heads.

With over 20 years' involvement in water jet cutting, prior to starting the company, managing director Richard Connelly has a wealth of water jet cutting experience, including within the aerospace sector. When looking at buying his first water jet machine Mr Connelly had to take into account that the machine in question must be versatile enough to produce one-off to full production runs, with the ability to switch from one material to another with minimum down time, and with capability of lights out operation. This means greater capacity, with 24 hours 7 days a week available. The Bystronic water jet machine ticked every box, allowing for a fast and reliable turn around on cut parts to meet costumer requirements. Waterjet Profilers is able to offer on average 2 to 3 day turnaround on most jobs from shim to 150 mm thick with a bed size of 4 by 3 m, this allows for most standard sheet sizes to be cut with up to two high performance cutting heads. The cutting heads feature CNC head distance allowing complex parts to be cut in the same nest moved by the CNC control. The Byvision CNC control is extremely user friendly and with CNC control of all cutting parameters, varying feed rates for varying material finishes and reliable engraving can be achieved.
