CML Alloys invests in water jet cutting from Wightman Stewart

The continued growth of CML Alloys, a supplier and processor of nickel alloys, titanium and speciality materials, has resulted in investment in a WARDJet 100 hp waterjet cutting machine to be supplied by Wightman Stewart, WARDJet's exclusive UK agent.

Based in Kingswinford, West Midlands CML Alloys provides products in all wrought forms for corrosion resisting, heat resisting and other applications where the materials' performance and properties are essential to the application. CML now has a production line for the machining of sheet and plate titanium in response to customer demand. Rather than relying upon subcontract waterjet cutting, CML Alloys decided to invest in its own waterjet facility. "We looked at the market and Wightman Stewart recommended the highly competitive WARDJet 100 hp cutting table which meets our exact requirements," said Richard Ward of CML Alloys. With CML Alloys extending its business into the field of supplying finished machine products the WARDJet provides both the quality and tolerance of cut that is required for materials such as titanium and nickel alloys. It will also provide the capacity for further expansion of the company's waterjet cutting facilities. Installation is scheduled for November 2010.
