Sandvik Coromant Open Days offer answers to challenges

Sandvik Coromant has announced it will host Open Days at its productivity centres across Europe throughout October.
The UK event takes place between 12-16 October. Visitors attending the open days will benefit from a number of live demonstrations showing Sandvik Coromant's latest product developments and presentations on its newest applications packages.
The theme of the Open Day events taking place is: "The challenge to your business." Throughout the day, scheduled presentations will address competitive advantage by achieving lower price per component and reduced lead times, through increased productivity in core application areas. Presentations and machine demonstrations will focus on operations such as milling, parting and grooving for various industry sectors that will include aerospace and energy.
Many of the new innovations and products from this year's CoroPak 09.2 will also be on display, with specialists on hand to answer questions.
"We are not attending EMO this year and want to offer a series of open days in our productivity centres to help customer's stay competitive in today's challenging market," said Virginie Geoffrion, Sandvik Coromant marketing communications manager for Europe. "We need to bear in mind that with every passing day we are closer to the economic upturn and there is a real need to be prepared and ready.
"Our dedicated R&D teams have developed a number of innovative new products and solutions that efficiently and permanently reduce costs and lead times for this purpose. Our aim is to support our customers and help ensure their future successes."
